Coming soon are two new Hawke Frontier 30 FFP riflescopes. Hawke Sport Optics tells HAM that these models should be available in Summer 2024. That’s just a month or two from now!

There’s a Frontier 30 FFP 4-20 x 50 and 5-25 x 56. Both are equipped with Hawke’s MOA Hunter reticle. The company says that this was developed specifically for first focal plane optical systems and based around the common principles of MOA spaced reticles.

There’s a bright center dot to give a sharp aim point for quick reference and target acquisition. The reticle has six levels of red brightness, with off positions in between every level.

In addition, the FFP MOA Hunter reticle has aim points every 2 MOA for holdover and windage. It also uses a hollow outer post design to keep more of the target visible while aiming.

Hawke explains that the MOA spaced reticle and 1/4 MOA turrets make for easy point of aim adjustment. This is because every 4 clicks on the turret will measure exactly 1 MOA spacing on the reticle. Of course, due to the First Focal Plane reticle position, this is true on all magnifications.

Both new models feature Hawke’s new H7 optics with a high – 5x – zoom ratio. The lenses are fully multi-coated with 21 layers to provide increased clarity and light transmission.

Airgunners will be pleased to find that both new Hawke Frontier 30 FFP riflescopes have side focusing with a minimum parallax adjustment distance of 15 Yards.

Field of view varies with magnification at 28.2 to 5.7 Feet at 100 Yards for the 4-20 x 50 model. For the 5-25 x 56 scope it’s 22.5 to 4.5 Ft at the same distance.

As expected, the higher magnification model is longer and heavier. At 24.6 Inches, it’s 2.3 Inches longer than the 4-20 model. The weight is 2.4 Oz heavier, too, at 24.6 Oz for the 5-25 x 56 scope.

You can see more information on the Hawke website. The Frontier 30 FFP 4-20 x 50 is Model Number 18 531 and the selling price is $1,199. The 5-25 x 56 – Model 18 541 – is $1,259. Both are covered by the company’s “no fault” lifetime warranty, of course.

Last – but not least – don’t forget that Hawke Sport Optics accepts HAM Airguns Points. Redeeming 1,000 HAM Points for an order in the Hawke USA online store saves you 20% on your order. With an expensive scope like these two new models, that makes a big saving!
