The SIG SAUER P320 X-Carry CO2 blowback pistol is the latest model from the company’s air division. It’s a semi-automatic, BB-firing, CO2-powered airgun.
As you would expect, the P320 X-Carry CO2 model has an extremely close resemblance to the centerfire version. At 7.3 Inches long and 5.5 Inches high, it’s well-suited as a training tool for users of the 9mm original.
The drop-free magazine holds 21 BBs, plus one 12 Gram CO2 cartridge. SIG claims a peak muzzle velocity of up to 350 FPS and around 50 – 60 shots per fill of CO2 from the semi automatic action.
As with other recent SIG SAUER BB pistols, the P320 X-Carry field-strips in a very similar manner to that of the firearm. The takedown lever is rotated and the slide comes off. In addition, the recoil spring assembly is removable, as we can see in the photograph below.
This field-strip capability is welcomed by many replica BB pistol owners. It’s also a benefit when it comes to installing the SIG Air Reflex Sight.
This is a tiny, elevation- and windage-adjustable red dot sight that can be mounted seamlessly onto the P320 X-Carry or M17.
Hard Air Magazine carried a comprehensive review of this reflex sight back in 2020, including full installation instructions. It installs easily using the included mounting plate and is a great upgrade for owners of these air pistols.
In spite of the additional weight of the reflex sight, the blowback action is still snappy in use – particularly with a full CO2 cartridge, as you would expect.
