When FX released the new Smooth Twist X Barrel and Interchangeable Barrel system in the spring of 2017, the airgun world took notice. The eager requests for this barrel to be integrated on the FX Impact, came almost immediately and now the wait is over with the release of the FX Impact Smooth Twist X Barrel upgrade, says the company.
The Smooth Twist X Barrel is a fully rifled barrel liner. FX’s proprietary process of imparting the inner rifling of the barrel from the outside of the steel tubing leaves a flawlessly smooth finished rifling inside the bore. This in turn increases the accuracy of the projectile drastically and makes this a highly coveted barrel for any air gun enthusiast, according to FX.
This barrel is housed in the Interchangeable Barrel system allowing the shooter to swap and change barrel liners of various twist rates, bore specifications and more; all to tailor the barrel to different projectile sizes.
Two options are available: the FX Impact Smooth Twist X Barrel Kit*, which is complete with shroud and moderator. And for a limited time only, you can also obtain the FX Smooth Twist X Barrel Upgrade. This is a barrel without shroud and moderator where you can utilize your existing shroud and moderator from your old standard Smooth Twist barrel all at a reduced price.
The FX Impact Smooth Twist X Barrel allows owners to upgrade any FX Impact in the caliber of their choice.
