In this latest video, Jim Chapman – the American Airgun Hunter – checks out a new Evanix Rex BA air rifle in .35 caliber before taking it hunting.

Compared to the original Rex, the Evanix Rex BA air rifle has a fully-shrouded barrel, together with a larger, higher pressure,carbon fiber HPA tank. The capacity of this tank is 480 cc and the maximum fill pressure 250 Bar – that’s 3,625 PSI.
Much of the rest of the Rex BA is similar to the original Rex, including the rear-bottle configuration and the undercover cocking “trigger guard” system. Again like the original, the Rex BA is available in a range of calibers, with an emphasis on multiple big bore options.
Obviously the big tank will increase the shot count, a particularly useful benefit for the larger caliber models. Jim was seeing 10 – 12 good shots per fill from his Evanix Rex BA air rifle in .35 caliber.
Jim shoots the Evanix Rex BA air rifle with good accuracy using .35 caliber JSB Exact Diabolo pellets – as you’ll see in the video. He also tries round balls in the gun, too.
In keeping with the compact size of the Rex BA, Jim also mounts a Leapers Accushot 1 – 4.5x scope. This compact scope comes complete with weaver/picatinny rings.
It’s clear that Jim likes this new air rifle and has high expectations for it when he finally takes it hunting.
