Hard Air Magazine readers first saw the Karma EQ in our report from the 2024 IWA OutdoorClassics show in Germany in March 2024. Now it’s available at Airgun Depot.
The Karma EQ is a magazine-fed, sidelever PCP air rifle that’s available in a choice of calibers from .22 to .30 cal.
Described by the manufacturer as offering high-power precision at an affordable price, the EQ is claimed to offer exceptional performance with both slugs and pellets.
For sure, the price is attractive at $950.00. However – as a Chinese-manufactured model – that may be subject to change. If you’re interested, it may be best to buy sooner rather than later!
The Karma EQ features a large plenum designed to maximize power output. In fact, it has 70 cc capacity. This – of course – is important, particularly for slug shooting.
Maximum power specs are 75 Ft/Lbs of Muzzle Energy in .22 caliber. In .25 cal that becomes 78 Ft/Lbs, with 102 Ft/Lbs available in the .30 caliber version.
(That’s a 20 MOA-angled Picatinny rail on top of the receiver to assist with scope adjustment in long-range shooting).
Karma stresses the easy adjustability of the EQ. There’s a prominent, external adjustable regulator control.
It’s that knob with the helpful arrow indicator on the underside of the gun – as we can see from the photograph below. With that degree of prominence, it’s really calling-out to be adjusted, isn’t it?
Plus, the hammer spring tension is adjustable, of course.
High magazine capacity is another strong suit for the EQ. Each rotary magazine holds 28 rounds in .22 caliber. In .25 cal the capacity is 26. Even in .30 caliber, the capacity is as many as 22 rounds.
HPA tank capacity is 500 cc, with a maximum fill pressure of 4,500 PSI (310 bar). Karma Airguns indicates 2,000 PSI as the regulator setting for peak performance, so that should still allow a good number of shots per fill.
Overall, the Karma EQ is a fairly compact air rifle. The overall length is 33 Inches – that includes a 24-Inch long barrel. Weight is 9 Lbs 5 Oz “bare”, without a riflescope or rings.
The warranty is 12 months.
