Airguns of Arizona has announced the new Brocock Sonoran PCP air rifle. And it’s available in .30 caliber fitted with a Sub-MOA Barrel.

The Sonoran is effectively a production-level upgrade of the Brocock (BRK) Safari. This is a development of the HAM Gold Award-winning Brocock Sniper XR that earned a stellar 96% score in Hard Air Magazine’s comprehensive review.

Starting from this outstanding base, the Sonoran is fitted with a 25-Inch, 15mm diameter Sub-MOA .30 caliber, single point, cut rifled barrel. The barrel is from the same Sub-MOA facility that produced the record winner at the 2024 Extreme Benchrest competition in the grueling 100 Yard finals, when shot by Claudio Flores.

As the Safari is not available in .30 caliber, the Sonoran also includes a newly-designed and manufactured pellet probe. AoA explains that this is a specially-made, exclusive part It’s designed to enhance the feeding of the pellet into the barrel for maximum accuracy and ease of o-ring service.

In addition, each Sonoran is given a trigger tune and light polish as standard to give the best performance and accurate shot release. The Huma regulator is set at 170-180 bar for the best consistency and power.

Another upgrade is that the Brocock Sonoran comes standard with a 480cc carbon fiber HPA bottle, an 8-round magazine, Picatinny scope and bipod rails and a desert tan stock and barrel shroud.

As with the Safari, the Huma regulator and hammer spring tension are user-adjustable. A port adjustment allows for further power flexibility. Together, this enables the owner to set the gun for backyard plinking or long range hunting and target use.

In out-of-the-box condition, the Sonoran gives around 30 shots with a Muzzle Energy of 70 Ft/Lbs from the tune set up by the AOA technical staff.

In addition, customers can select an optional tune/upgrade at the time of purchase. This raises the performance specs to 90 Ft/Lbs Muzzle Energy and up to 65 shots from the larger 580cc bottle. The additional cost of this option results from the extensive custom work involved, plus the bottle upgrade.

The price is $1,895.99 (including Sub-MOA barrel). The optional power tune and upgrade adds another $550.00 to that – if required.

Another interesting upgrade option is the possibility to upgrade the three-year factory warranty by a further three years using the optional $250.00 “factory warranty booster”.
