The BRK Ghost is rapidly gaining in popularity. And – as we all love to customize our airguns – today let’s look at the growing range of BRK Ghost upgrades…
Of course, the Ghost is a HAM Gold Award-winning model. In our testing, it earned an almost-perfect 98% score for its combination of quality, value and performance.
Airguns of Arizona describes the BRK Ghost as “a complete airgun platform that can excel in the field hunting small to medium sized game, or on the line in benchrest, speed shooting, field target, or NRL/PRS competitions.”
So let’s look at some of the upgrades that you can make to YOUR Ghost for specific shooting disciplines: or just because it looks good!
These upgrades and accessories are all part of the manufacturer’s “Performance Centre” concept. (Yes, ‘Centre” is the “English English” spelling and, after all, BRK is a British company!)
So there’s a customized display unit for BRK dealers, together with a dedicated catalog covering Performance center products in the BRK, Daystate, 0dB and MTC Optics families. You can download a PDF version of the catalog yourself from the BRK website.
As the Ghost benefits from an easy barrel-swap capability, let’s start with barrel kits. These are available in different lengths for the “Plus”, “Carbine” and “HP” Ghost models. They enable you to change caliber from .177 cal right up to .30 caliber.
Talking of barrels, there’s the Ghost Barrel Tensioner Kit. Fitted as standard on the Ghost World Record Limited Edition model, it’s now available as an aftermarket upgrade for all Ghost HP models.
The Tensioner Kit adds barrel stability and reduces vibration by allowing user to change barrel tension and harmonic frequency for different calibers, pellets etc. It can be combined with the Ghost Barrel Tensioner Clamp Kit if required for additional anti-vibration support.
Then there’s the Ghost Hammer Spring Power Tune Kit. Designed for export and high-power (HP) versions only, this is a set of 6 pre-rated springs that allows tuners to adjust the hammer tension to suit different pellets and slugs.
The Ghost has a shrouded barrel. However – if you need it to be a little more “backyard friendly” – then there’s a range of airgun-only silencers (moderators if you prefer) for multiple calibers, colors and lengths.
Most of these are 0dB products, but some are BRK-branded too, in case you want full fidelity in your BRK Ghost upgrades.
Below, the BRK Ghost M-LOK and ARCA Forend Rail is a forestock extension for use with accessories with ARCA Swiss Plate or M-Lok style fittings. This upgrade replaces the factory trigger lower plate, and makes a clean fit to the factory design.
By the way, this Ghost is in the “Blaze edition” color scheme that’s exclusive to Airguns of Arizona.
There’s also a range of BRK Ghost upgrades from the British manufacturer PRS. This excellent adjustable buttplate is one.
There’s a bag rider that fits it too, for benchrest competition.
Or you may prefer the model with the built-in monopod.
There’s a PRS cheek riser for the Ghost as well. But – would you know – I seem to have forgotten to photograph that. So many accessories, so little time!
Also from the UK, Form Riflestocks has a range of laminated beech pistol grips that fit the Ghost.
In blue, too…
There’s also a matching cheek rest for the maximum “bling” effect.
