The latest product from UK-based scope manufacturer MTC Optics is a new adjustable reach-forward scope mount for riflescopes with 30mm diameter tubes.
The photograph below shows the additional flexibility that the new mounts offer when used with the Daystate Red Wolf, for example.
MTC explains the thinking behind this new product as follows…
Given the many possible variations in breech length, magazine position and stock configuration, setting up large 30mm tube scopes to achieve the right eye relief can be a challenge for some shooters, the company says. In some cases the shooter has to compromise, especially if he or she plans to shoot at extreme ranges and demands high levels of precision.
To address the problem, MTC Optics has introduced the Blueprint 30mm Adjustable Reach-Forward scope mount. The 17mm (0.67-Inches) reach forward range may make this the only mount capable of enabling shooters to set up their preferred rifle and scope combination properly.
There are two models available. One fits “traditional” 11/12mm dovetail rails, it’s shown in the photo above. The other is suitable for Picatinny rails – that’s the one in our top heading photograph.
In addition to the 17mm reach forward range, both models offer tilt adjustment of up to 40°. There’s also height adjustment capability of 15 22mm (high to extra high) saddle height.
These new adjustable reach-forward scope mount models are available in the UK already at a price of £73.33 including Value Added (Sales) Tax.
They should be available soon in other countries through the local MTC Optics dealer. In the USA, that’s Airguns of Arizona, of course.
