Top Position – Weihrauch HW100
The HW100 is a long-term HAM reader favorite. The clear winner for 2019, this PCP features in this list every year. It’s also a favorite of the HAM Team and a Gold Award winner.
Not only that, but our latest review of the new bullpup version is already drawing much interest, even in just a few weeks.

Number Two – Umarex Gauntlet .25 Caliber
There’s no doubt, the Gauntlet changed the game in the PCP air rifle market. It’s a HAM Gold Award winner and has created a ton of interest in this most recent, large caliber version.
The Gauntlet is another consistent player in HAM’s Top Ten most popular air rifle reviews list.
This story about the .25 cal Gauntlet shooting at 100 Yards in the 2019 Pyramyd Air Cup also drew a lot of readers.

Number Three – FX Dreamlite
Seen as an air rifle alone, the Dreamlite provides great value. However, it moves to a completely different level if its potential for versatility is included.
Here is an air rifle that can evolve with you as your shooting interests change over time. It’s a capability unmatched by any other airgun in the market today.
The FX Dreamlite air rifle is a convincing HAM Gold Award winner!

In Fourth Place – Diana Outlaw
The Diana Outlaw features a different blend of features to the competition. It’s an interesting and attractive PCP that’s available in .177 cal, .22 caliber and .25. It also scored a HAM Gold Award in our review.
With a good regulated shot count, pleasant side lever cocking and consistent trigger, the Outlaw looks good and feels good in the hand too. All this makes this Diana PCP air rifle compelling value.
If you want a ton more information beyond the review, it’s all in the HAM hard copy book Choosing and Shooting The Diana Outlaw.

Number Five – ATI Nova Freedom
The American Tactical Nova Freedom stands alone in the market as an affordable, multi-shot PCP air rifle with a built-in hand pump.
It’s hard-hitting and accurate with mid-weight and above lead pellets. If you’re hunting, set the gun to High Power and be prepared to pump every 5 or 6 shots. For target shooting, Low Power still gives plenty of FPS and an amazing 20 good shots between pumping.
If you like this concept, there’s nothing else to touch it in the market at anywhere near the price. The American Tactical Nova Freedom easily earns a coveted HAM Gold Award for what it does and the way it does it!

Number Six – FX Impact
The FX Impact is an outstanding high-end PCP air rifle. It combines immense versatility with compact size and light weight.
The Impact easily gains a HAM Gold Award. It scores 96% in our rigorous structured testing methodology, one of the highest scores we’ve ever recorded. It’s that good! This HAM review was of the “Mark One” Impact. There’s now a Mk II and it’s even better…
No doubt, the FX Impact is an expensive air rifle. But you do get what you pay for in this case.

Number Seven – Weihrauch HW97k
Another perennial favorite, the HW97K was another very close call for the German company. The HAM Team likes this underlever Weihrauch springer a lot. It was another HAM Gold Award winner in our review.
This is the most popular spring/piston air rifle review for HAM readers. If you fancy trying this model in the unusual .20 caliber, you can read HAM Tester Doug Rogers’ experience in this post.

Number Nine – SIG SAUER ASP MCX
The MCX was one of the original SIG Air products. It continues to be very popular with a huge range of buyers. The MCX scored 65% in its HAM test review. The only CO2-powered firearms replica in this list, like its close cousin the MPX, it’s widely used as a plinker and firearms trainer.

Number Ten – Bushmaster MPW
HAM Tester Doug Wall summed up the Bushmaster MPW Full Auto BB Gun perfectly in his test notes. “This gun is a hoot to shoot!” he wrote. “Plan on stocking-up on CO2 and BBs if you get one. You’ll need them.”
The MPW offers realistic blowback action, accuracy and a great shot count. It field strips, looks and feels like an M4. And there’s the “rock and roll” full auto capability that’s guaranteed to bring a smile to every face!
It’s a HAM Gold Award winner without any doubt!
