The new SIG SAUER 1911 We The People CO2 BB Gun is now shipping and is in stores. HAM received its sample just yesterday. As we can see from the photograph below, this is a VERY close copy of the extremely popular SIG SAUER 1911 We The People centerfire pistol. This is the company’s tribute to the Second Amendment and features an aggressively aged appearance, together with a total of 50 stars on the grip plates.
It’s tough to tell, but the BB-firing version is the one on the right in the photograph below…
… but it’s not so tough to tell the difference in the prices. The SIG SAUER 1911 We The People CO2 BB Gun has an MSRP of $119.99. The centerfire version lists for $1,481.00. This – among other things – makes the BB-firing version ideal as a cost-effective practice and training tool.

At first sight, you might think that the SIG SAUER 1911 We The People CO2 BB Gun is another version of the existing SIG SAUER 1911 ASP models like the 1911 Spartan and the 1911 Max Michel. However, this is not so.
Yes, all these guns are realistic replicas of SIG SAUER 1911 firearms. Yes, they all have a very similar weight and size. Yes they are all BB-firing semi autos with grip safeties.
However, the new SIG SAUER 1911 We The People CO2 BB Gun is actually manufactured by a different factory – in Taiwan instead of Japan – and is of a completely different internal design, as this high-level comparison of features illustrates:
