Crosman and Benjamin PCP Airgun Degassing Tool Discontinued From New Guns.

Hard Air Magazine understands that Crosman and Benjamin PCP airguns manufactured after about the start of April 2015 will have the airgun degassing tool discontinued from new airgun packaging.

Degassing tools will still be available as a spare part from Crosman and specialist suppliers such as Archer Airguns.

HAM does not know the reason for this move but guesses it’s an effort to keep down manufacturing costs. Probably only a small proportion of owners use the airgun degassing tool supplied with these models. Yet they are a very useful way to remove all pressure from the air tube of PCP airguns and Crosman has led the way in providing them.

Models effected by this change include the following: Benjamin Marauder air rifles, Benjamin Marauder air pistols, Benjamin Discovery air rifles, Crosman Challenger air rifles, Crosman 1700 and 1701 PCP pistols.
