The FX Crown PCP air rifle was first introduced last year at IWA 2017. Now, one year on, the new FX Crown Synthetic has been introduced at the 2018 IWA Show.
The FX Crown Synthetic has a soft touch coated ambidextrous synthetic stock. The manufacturer says that this makes it perfect for those looking for a stock better suited for taking out hunting and in the field.
This lighter stock takes the already svelte Crown to just 6.4 lbs. weight in synthetic, FX tells us. Plus the synthetic stock option comes at a lower price point. That makes the Crown more accessible to a larger number of shooters.
All other features of the FX Crown remain the same, including external adjustments to the regulator, hammer spring, and air control valve. The Crown also features a large capacity rotary magazine.
Other features include an adjustable match grade trigger (set at 16 oz. from the factory), 480cc lightweight carbon fiber air bottle, and smooth side lever cocking.
The FX Crown Synthetic also features the FX Smooth Twist X Barrel. This revolutionary barrel is made using FXs proprietary system of imparting the inner rifling of the barrel from the outside of the steel tubing.
It’s all housed in the Interchangeable Barrel Liner system that allows for the changing of barrel twist rates, and other bore specifications. FX says that this allows for a wider array of projectile use.
The manufacturer says that the FX Crown Synthetic will be Available May of 2018 .
