The 2018 SHOT Show may be over, but HAM will continue to bring you late announcements of new airgun announcements! Among these are a the new Stoeger Airguns F40 rifle and XP4 pistol.
The new Stoeger Airguns F40 rifle is a fixed-barrel rifle with underlever cocking, available as a rifle only or as part of a rifle/optics combo.
Stoeger Airguns says that underlever airguns offer many advantages over break-barrel airguns. These include mechanical consistency of shots due to the rigidity between barrel and receiver.
Plus, Stoeger tells us, there is considerably less wear to the airgun’s most important areas – where the barrel meets the receiver and at the hinge pin. And with the extra weight of the cocking lever ideally located beneath the barrel, the rifle is steadier and inherently more accurate.
Available in both .177 and .22 caliber configurations, the new Stoeger Airguns F40 rifle has a spring piston powerplant, a two-stage adjustable trigger, an automatic, ambidextrous safety and a hardwood stock.
The Stoeger Airguns F40 has a claimed Muzzle Velocity of up to 1,200 FPS in .177 caliber with alloy pellets (up to 1,000 FPS with lead). In .22 caliber, the figures are up to 1,000 FPS with alloy and 800 FPS with lead. MSRP for the Stoeger Airguns F40 rifle only is $199 for both calibers. The rifle/optics combo package includes a 3-9×40 riflescope and has an MSRP of $229.
Stoeger Airguns tells us that their new XP4 pistol is designed for easy, ambidextrous handling. It’s a single pump pneumatic with a light, composite frame.
The XP4 is available in .177 caliber airgun is equipped with a two-stage trigger and automatic safety. There’s also fiber-optic sights with windage- and elevation-adjustable rear sights, together with an integrated slide and accessories rail for accessories mounting.
Stoeger Airguns specs call for the XP4 pistol to produce velocities up to 410 FPS with alloy pellets (360 FPS with lead).
The MSRP of the new XP4 pistol is $89.
All Stoeger Airgun models feature a 2-year warranty.
