For our final 2018 SHOT Show airgun report, we start at the Air Venturi booth.
Our heading photograph, above, gives a close up of the new Seneca Double Shot. This double barrel air shotgun builds upon the existing Seneca Wing Shot model. Two shells can be loaded into the Seneca Double Shot at one time, with the switch controlling which barrel is fired.
Below, Scott Stevens from Air Venturi shows us the lines of the Double Shot.
Among the other new airguns being shown by Air Venturi in this 2018 SHOT Show airgun report was the Dragonfly multi-pump air rifle. Muzzle velocity can be varied by the number of pumps – between 3 and 8 – and the Dragonfly can be used with multi-shot magazines or single shot loading tray.
The Dragonfly certainly looks very much like a multi-pump version of the Diana Stormrider. Dustin Olenslager from Air Venturi certainly looks impressed with it, below!
Continuing our 2018 SHOT Show airgun report, Scott Stevens shows us the new Air Venturi TR5 Target Rifle. The TR5 is a new, Chinese-manufactured, youth target rifle that looks very much like the Russian IZH 60. There’s a side lever action, straight magazine and provision for front and rear target diopter sights.
Moving back to the Crosman booth, to continue this 2018 SHOT Show airgun report, Mark Deboard shows us the new Benjamin MAG-FIRE. This is a 10-shot, multi-shot hunting rifle. It uses the popular and reliable Benjamin Marauder magazine and is bundled with a 3-9×40 scope.
Here’s a close-up of the repeating acton, with its straight push/pull pellet loading lever. Mark told me that the Benjamin MAG-FIRE will be available from July 2018.
Crosman was also showing the new, fully automatic PFAM9B blowback BB pistol. As you would expect, the PFM9B is powered by a 12 Gram CO2 cartridge. It uses a 20-round, drop free magazine.
High up on the Gamo booth, Lawrence Taylor shows us the new Gamo Swarm Magnum. This is a high power .22 caliber version of the Swarm Maxxim that was launched last year.
A feature of this 2018 SHOT Show airgun report has been the ever-increasing number of big bore air rifles. Lawrence showed us the new Gamo TC45 and Winchester Model 70 big bore air rifles, below.
Finally, I called-in at ASG – Action Sports Games. ASG is primarily an airsoft company, however they do have some “hard air” guns including two new introductions. Firstly, Bob Li showed me their BB-firing, licensed air pistol version of the CZSP-01.
This blowback air pistol can be fully field stripped just like the firearm original, as Bob shows us below.
The second new air pistol at ASG was a pellet-firing version of the 1911. This has an unusual magazine, featuring two rotary pellet holders for a total of 12 shots in the magazine.
Well, that’s it for Hard Air Magazine’s 2018 SHOT Show Airgun Report series. I hope you have found them interesting and informative. As you can see, there’s a ton of new airguns for us to look forward to throughout the year.
And there will be more new airguns at the 2018 IWA Show in March. HAM will be there to bring you the updates from Germany. Keep tuned to this station!!!
