In this report from the 2018 SHOT Show, we’ll take a look at some new PCP air rifles from a number of manufacturers.
To start, we visited Hatsan. This Turkish company always has a slew of new announcements at every SHOT Show and this year was no different!
Above, Daniel Settle of HatsanUSA shows us the new FlashPup, one of several new PCP air rifles to be seen here. The FlashPup is the bullpup version of the Hatsan Flash QE. These new PCP air rifles will be available in .177, .22 and .25 calibers. It features magazine loading and a shrouded barrel, although not – surprisingly – a regulator.

Hatsan is well known for its physically large, highly-specified air rifles and the new Hercules Bully continues this trend, even though it’s apparently smaller and lighter than its predecessor!
The Bully is available in calibers from .177 all the way up to .45 cal. It’s a side lever bullpup with one of the longest Picatinny accessory rails I’ve ever seen…
Hatsan has also introduced a range of HPA charging systems, including hand pumps and a TactAir Lightning PCP compressor.
Air Arms had the misfortune to have their booth and exhibits held for US Customs clearance until the second day of the 2018 SHOT Show. I’ll get back there to see the new PCP air rifles they have, but in the meantime, here’s a display giving us some basic information.
Korean manufacturer Evanix is another company that always has lots of innovative new PCP airguns to show. This year Siyoung Lee from Evanix showed us the Evanix Hunting master AR6 model. This uses a 6-round rotary pellet magazine with a choice of single- and double-action operation.
The Hunting Master is available with calibers from .177 to .25 cal. and is positioned as a youth gun due to its small size.
Mr Lee also showed me the Evanix MaxAir. This is an air-operated semi automatic PCP air rifle and is available in calibers from .177 right up to .300 cal.
