The new Winchester Big Bore Air Rifle Model 70 is a side lever PCP that’s available in both .357 and .45 calibers.
A maximum Muzzle Velocity of 800 FPS is claimed for the .357 caliber gun, together with 700 FPS in .45 caliber.
The maximum fill pressure is 3,350 PSI. The built-in HPA tube is claimed to provide enough air for six full-powered shots in .357 cal and five in .45 caliber. These reflect the capacity of the rotary magazines in either caliber.
With an adjustable two-stage trigger, side lever action and shrouded barrel, the Winchester Big Bore Air Rifle Model 70 is clearly intended to be a serious hunting tool!
We’ll be looking out for more details on this new model at the 2018 SHOT Show next week…
