IWA Outdoor Classics – usually known as “the IWA Show” is the European equivalent of the US-based SHOT Show. It’s a trade-only event for the firearms and associated industries.
The IWA show takes place annually in March and is held in Nuremberg, Germany. Why IWA? It the abbreviation for the German words Internationale Waffen Ausstellung – that means “International Weapons Show”.
This year, the IWA Show will run from 6 – 9 March.
Although IWA is less well known among US readers, it is – in many ways – more significant for airguns than the SHOT Show. This is because the restrictions on firearms in European countries lead to an increased focus on airguns from the exhibitors there. (Our photos show the 2014 show, of course).
Hard Air Magazine’s Executive Columnist Stephen Lamboy will be at the 2015 IWA Show and will; be sending photographs and news daily to HAM for publication.
What will be new in the airgun world at IWA Outdoor Classics 2015? Watch this space to find out!
