Hatsan has launched its first semi-automatic air pistol – the Hatsan Sortie.
The new Sortie semi-auto air pistol follows-on from two semi-automatic air rifles – the Hatsan Barrage and BullMaster – which were launched earlier this year. The Hatsan Sortie uses the same gas-operated semi-auto action in a smaller, lightweight pistol platform.
Hatsan says that the Sortie’s rapid rate of fire means users can sling pellets downrange as fast as they can pull the trigger.
Muzzle Velocity specifications for the Hatsan Sortie are 800 FPS in .177 caliber and 700 FPS in .22 cal.
The Sortie is a pre-charged pneumatic (PCP) air pistol and will be available in .177 and .22 calibers. The 62cc on-board High Pressure Air tube can be filled to a maximum pressure of 2900 PSI using a probe filling system.
Hatsan says this provides shooters with up to 28 shots per fill at “optimal velocity”, which the company usefully defines as “within 85% of the maximum FPS”. Three rotary magazines are included with the gun. These magazines have capacities of 14 shots in .177, or 12 shots in .22 caliber.
The Sortie has a fully shrouded barrel, includes a quick-fill nozzle and comes with adjustable TRUGLO fiber optic sights.
A combo Weaver / Dovetail rail is milled into the receiver for scope mounting versatility. The manufacturer says that the Sortie is designed to be extremely ergonomic – at least if you’re right-handed! The polymer, checkered grip is suited to right-handed shooters only.
This is a big air pistol! The Hatsan Sortie weighs 4.4 Lbs and has an overall length of 15 1/2 Inches, with a barrel length of 7.9 Inches.
A hard case is included for easy transport and the MSRP on the Hatsan Sortie Pistol is $699.99.
