One of the great things about the 2017 Pyramyd Air Cup is that all age groups participate. This (very) young lady competitor was participating with her Dad – and they both obviously had a great time…
Of course, Rossie Morreale, the host of TV’s American Airgunner was at the 2017 Pyramyd Air Cup. He was shooting a pre-production Umarex Gauntlet air rifle, with a somewhat unusual scope mounting arrangement!
How would you like a TV crew filming you at every shot? Particularly when you’ve had scope issues and were trying to sight-in as you moved from target to target in the competition?
Among the supporting manufacturers, Tobias Schmidt from Diana and Florian Schwartz, the General Manager of pellet manufacturer H&N, both travelled from Germany to attend the 2017 Pyramyd Air Cup. That’s dedication! Below they share a joke in a quiet moment at the shoot.
Leapers was again a strong supporter of the 2017 Pyramyd Air Cup. The company fielded a team of shooters, including Yvonne Hsieh, below.
While Shawn Pragel from Crosman showed us how to do it shooting his Marauder at one of the standing lanes.
Moving down the lanes, there was a wide variety of hardware to be seen, including Daystate…
… Steyr…
… actually there were lots of Steyrs present…
and Thomas, among many others.
The beautiful Tusco Rifle Club range gave lots of space for the many competitors and spectators at the 2017 Pyramyd Air Cup. Many competitors told me that they found the Field Target course interesting and challenging!
At the time I had to leave for the drive home, the final results of the 2017 Pyramyd Air Cup had not been announced. But you’ll be able to see them very soon at http://www.pyramydaircup.com.
Overall, the 2017 Pyramyd Air Cup was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone I talked to. Pyramyd Air has many staff dedicated to making the event a success and helping competitors in every way they can. Thanks to all the PA staff involved!
And many Tusco Rifle Club members were involved, too, in vital functions such as Range Safety Officers and catering. Thanks to them too!
And, it’s clear that the event is going from strength-to-strength with improvements in the competition, as well as more shooters attending.
I’ll see you there again next year…
