Leapers has announced a new 4-16x40AO scope, the Model SCP-U4164AOIEN.
This new scope includes many features making it great for airgun use. Foremost among these is the parallax adjustment capability from from 5 Yds to Infinity. This is achieved by rotating the front bell of the scope, enabling close-range shots to be taken clearly and with confidence, says Leapers.
The Model SCP-U4164AOIEN has the classic Mil Dot reticle that’s so essential for accurate air rifle shooting. The dots on the reticle allow for easy hold over (or hold under) to accommodate pellet ballistics simply and quickly.
Leapers also say that this new SCP-U4164AOIEN scope is fitted with premium zero lockable and zero re-settable target turrets. This makes the turrets easy to adjust and then lock in place after adjusting windage or elevation. Each click of the turrets gives 1/4 MOA change of position, for fine adjustment when sighting-in.
As the SCP-U4164AOIEN scope is built on Leapers True Strength platform, the scope is rated for airgun use. This means that the lenses are braced against the strong forward recoil that is produced by magnum spring/piston and break barrel air rifles. Conventional, non-airgun rated scopes can easily be ruined by this recoil, so this is a very important benefit.
The new SCP-U4164AOIEN 4-16x40AO scope is also claimed to be completely sealed and Nitrogen-filled, shockproof, fogproof, and rainproof, for use in inclement weather conditions.
This new scope is also equipped with Leapers EZ-TAP Illumination Enhancing System with red/green dual-color and 36 multi-color modes. This helps the shooter obtain maximum clarity of the reticle under any lighting and weather conditions, says Leapers.
There’s also a one-click illumination memory feature that gets the user directly back to the color and brightness setting previously used.
The SCP-U4164AOIEN scope has a one-inch tube and the lenses are emerald-coated for maximum light transmission.
The scope comes complete with flip-open lens caps. No scope rings or mounts are included. This gives the buyer maximum flexibility to purchase the exact mounting hardware required for his/her specific preferences and air rifle mounting rails.
