The 2017 IWA Show – officially the 44th annual IWA Outdoor Classics exhibition – is now closed. And it was a stairway to heaven for airgun enthusiasts!!!

There was so much to see. All previous records for show were broken this year. In total, 1,515 companies from 57 countries exhibited at the 2017 IWA Show, an increase of 60 over last year. And the number of visitors increased, too: by around 4,000 people to a total of 49,000. That’s a big show by anyone’s standards!

So this is the last HAM report from the IWA 2017 Show. But, the products and companies included here are definitely NOT the least – there’s probably twice as much airgun news as I’ve been able to report – it’s everywhere at the show. My intention has been to cover the most important announcements, as well as to bring information about new products and companies that you’ve probably never heard of before.

Of course, our friends at Leapers had a large booth at the show, together with yet more new products! Below we see Tracy Cui – Leapers’ Marketing Manager – in the center of the booth.

Tracy showed me two new Leapers UTG scopes that will be of interest to airgunners.

One was a new “Bugbuster” model. This is a 3-9x compact scope, with close focus, mildot reticle and 32mm objective (front) lens. Its Leapers UTG model SCP-M392AOWQ.

It combines an outstanding 8x magnification ratio with with all the usual Leapers’ features, a 30mm tube and a new reticle pattern. This is model SCP3-216G4 and there’s lots more information on the Leapers website here.

Of course, Sightron was at the 2017 IWA Show with their high-end scopes. Just a few of them are shown in the photograph below!

And if you wanted to see a HUGE range of spring/piston and gas ram air rifles at the 2017 IWA Show, Gamo was the place to see them…

The new Gamo Swarm Maxxim was also prominently on show. But in Europe it’s called the Replay Maxx. Same gun, different power levels, different name, different market.

Of course, BSA is a part of the Gamo empire and British-designed and manufactured BSA PCP air rifles were prominently displayed at the show. Below we see – from top to bottom – The new BSA R-10SE CSS Realtree model, the BSA Brigadier and the BSA Buccanneer Black SE.

BSA also has a range of breakbarrel air rifles, including the Swarm Maxxim, branded as the BSA Spitfire and with a wood stock. Here’s some more of their products below…

And below we see another Russian manufacturer showing a new range of PCP air rifles and pellets at the 2017 IWA Show. Jaeger air rifles and pellets are manufactured by KSPZ, the Klimovsk Specialized Ammunition Plant. Jaeger air rifles are available in multiple calibers all the way from .177 to 9mm (0.35-inches)…

KSPZ is the manufacturer of Wolf firearms ammunition and the firearms heritage is clear when looking at their pellet range.

So, that’s it for HAM’s reports on airgun news at the 2017 IWA Show. I hope that you have enjoyed all these reports. I’ll be back next year for the 2018 IWA Show!
