Now let’s take more of a deep dive and see the Daystate and BRK display at IWA 2025. Of course the Blackwolf took center stage, but the company has a large range of outstanding airguns, making-up a very strong portfolio at this time.
In our heading photograph at the top, we see HAM contributor Soren Drost – again! – trying-out the handling of the Blackwolf.
Personally, I love the look of the walnut stock – in either “tube” or “bottle” models.
Now it’s Quiz time! If I said the name Adriano Nodari to you, would you know who he is? I’m guessing not, but we all should do so…
You see, Adriano is the chief airgun designer for Daystate and BRK. He has been responsible for many recent airguns for these brands, notably including the BRK Ghost and the Daystate Blackwolf.
Adriano is always smiling, but somehow I couldn’t catch it for my photographs! So here he is, although looking uncharacteristically fierce!
Of course we talked about the Blackwolf and I gave him my opinion so far (it’s outstanding). Then Adriano agreed that he feels the Blackwolf is his best design so far. When pushed, he confirmed that he is very proud of the new gun. And so he should be!!!
Plenty of smiles were available from Daystate’s Tony Belas, however…
Now for a couple of close-ups.
Below we see the Volumax plenum extension. Or at least one side of it. Due to limitations with the wood stock design, this can only be fitted to chassis guns.
And here’s Chris Jensen from AoA demonstrating how adjustments are made to the buttstock of the chassis guns. He was smiling – promise ;-)
The other current Daystate models were displayed too, of course.
And did we mention BRK? Naturally, the HAM Gold Award-winning Ghost is the latest and greatest from this stable. But the other models are also up-to-date and valid members of the product line. They were all; attracting plenty of attention at the show.
