Northern Precision slugs are a new introduction from the long-running manufacturer of custom swaged ammunition.
With a history of making swaged lead bullets dating back to 1989, Northern Precision is adding airgun slugs to its range of products. The first products are in .458 and .30 calibers. In addition, the company will be adding .22 and .25 caliber options in the near future.
Because Northern Precision slugs are individually made – yes one at a time – using a Corbin press, then hand inspected. You can choose custom weights and styles, simply by asking!
Sample packs of 10 slugs are available for just $10.00. from Northern Precision. A tin of 50 Dish Base Hollow Points in .30 caliber costs $20.00. There’s no minimum order value, either. And these slugs are made in the USA in up-state New York.
To give an idea of the possibilities, let’s look at some samples in .30 caliber. One example is the 70 Grain Hollow Point with Dish Base.
Then there’s a 130 Grain version in the same caliber. These 130-Grainers would need a powerful PCP with something in excess of 200 Ft/Lbs Muzzle Energy and – at .785 Inches long – plenty of space for loading!

The .458 slugs weigh 260 Grains each. They’re individually-packed in a polystyrene sleeve to prevent damage in transit.
