For the serious – and we mean REALLY SERIOUS – hunter, a thermal monocular can be a huge aid when stalking or spotting game. So the Blaser Group has introduced Liemke Keiler thermal monoculars Into the USA. They’ve been available in Europe for many years..
There’s two models: Keiler 13 Pro and Keiler 35 Pro. They’re not cheap, but a thermal monocular could be the ultimate accessory for a big bore airgun hunter…
Designed as hand-held devices, these compact and rugged spotters can detect heat signatures in all light conditions – night time, daytime, dawn, or dusk – giving hunters a clear edge in the field for observing and tracking game.
The pocket-size Keiler 13 Pro features heat signature detection up to 500 Yards while the Keiler 35 Pro has detection capability up to 1,350 Yards. Heat sources can be displayed in various color modes in both models and can be enlarged digitally to show finer detail when viewing game.
Liemke Keiler thermal monoculars can also be used for still photo and video recording. The 50 Hz frame rates ensuring fast refresh rates for high image quality and easy viewing. Internal data storage of 16 Gb is built-in.
Video and photos can be transferred via cable from the Keiler 13 Pro to a cellphone or tablet. The Keiler 35 Pro has integrated Wi-Fi allowing live image data to be transferred to an Android or Apple iOS device up to 54 Yards away.
In addition, multiple image display modes are selectable – as shown in these photographs. The images will look very similar if seen during day or night time. The main difference is that when the sun is shining, the environment around the subjects heats up and so becomes more visible to the thermal sensor.
Although they have very long run times, both thermal monoculars can also be operated and charged via an external USB power source.
The built-in weather proofing means that Liemke Keiler thermal monoculars are certified according to IP66 (Ingress Protection Rating) standards for protection against dust and heavy rain.
