The twenth-sixth World Field Target Championships was held in Lisbon, Portugal, from 16th to 20th August, 2016.
As already posted in Hard Air Magazine, the event was won by Welshman Jack Harris. In this post, we’ll provide a pictorial overview of the Lisbon 2016 Championships, to give something of a flavor for the event.
Hard Air Magazine would like to thank Sergio Rita, Director of the Portuguese Shooting Federation, for his approval for us to publish these images!
In total, over 300 shooters from 30 countries competed in the championships.
With such a large number of shooters at Lisbon 2016, there were many lanes with shooting happening simultaneously.
Following we see many shooters who proudly proclaimed their country on their backs (or shoulder)!
There was a huge variety of beautiful air rifles being fielded at the WFTC…
Of course, there were both PCP and Springer Divisions. Here we have the results by country.

The Awards Ceremony was also very impressive at the Lisbon 2016 competition. Here’s some of the winners. And that’s Jack Harris again, far right. As you can see, the event was sponsored by some of the biggest names in the airgun industry, including Walther, Sightron, Air Arms, Schmidt + Bender and Ataman.
