Today, Pyramyd Air announced its top-selling high end air rifles of 2019. “High end air rifles” in this list are those selling for $500 and above.
Overall, there’s few surprises about this list – nine out of ten winners are PCPs. Five out of ten are big bore guns – that is, with a caliber greater than .25.
If you missed-out on Pyramyd’s lower-cost, best-selling air rifles list, you can find it here.
1. FX Impact
The FX brand was new to Pyramyd Air in 2019. But that didn’t stop the Impact from immediately becoming their top-selling high end air rifle. Of course, the Impact has been immensely popular ever since its introduction.
Hard Air Magazine tested the Impact in .22 caliber at the end of 2017: it was an easy HAM Gold Award winner.
2. Benjamin Marauder Field And Target
The Field And Target is a regulated version of the well-known Marauder. HAM tested it when it first appeared as the Crosman Custom Shop Regulated Marauder. The Field and Target is the same gun in regular production.
Whatever the name, it’s another HAM Gold Award winner!
3. Benjamin Marauder Air Rifle Combo
The Marauder appears again in it’s unregulated form in a scope and sling combo. This long-running model has always been a HAM Gold Award-winning favorite. Obviously that’s true for Pyramyd Air’s customers, too.
4. Air Arms TX 200 MkIII
The TX200 is another perennial favorite among Pyramyd Air’s customers. It’s been in this list for the past five years – a feat more impressive as it’s the ONLY spring/piston gun to make the cut among the high end rifles.
The TX 200 is yet another HAM Gold Award winner! Hmmm, looks like a trend here…
5. AirForce Texan LSS
In at number five was this moderated version of the Texan SS – which also appears in this list at ninth place in un-silenced form.
It was the top placed big bore gun among Pyramyd Air’s top-selling high end air rifles of 2019. That’s a place that had been held by the Benjamin Bulldog for the previous four years.
Manufacturer’s Rankings
This time Velocity Outdoor is the most popular manufacturer with four of its Benjamin-branded models. This is a good year for the company: typically three of the top ten are Benjamin airguns. Congratulations to the company formerly known as Crosman Corporation
Air Force and Air Venturi tie for second place with two entries each. (Seneca is an Air Venturi brand). FX and Air Arms have one place each.
Here’s the full list of the top-placed air rifles, together with their rankings in previous years.
