The SIG Super Target air pistol was first seen by HAM readers in our SHOT Show 2019 report. Now it’s available and in stock from Airguns of Arizona.
The Super Target is positioned as an entry level target air pistol for 10 Meter competition and practice. It has a single stroke pneumatic action that’s operated by breaking the barrel from the rear and rotating it around a pivot point just below the muzzle.
As you would expect for a target pistol, pellets are loaded individually, with cocking being required for each shot. Muzzle Velocity is also unimportant for a target air pistol: the 350 FPS maximum claimed for the SIG Super Target is plenty for use in 10 Meter shooting. Caliber is .177, of course.
There’s a rear sight that’s adjustable for windage and elevation, the front sight is fixed. There’s also an adjustable trigger. Custom wood grips are fitted for shooting comfort.
With an overall length of 11 Inches, this is not a small pistol. Weighing-in at 3 Lbs, its obviously designed for precision target use.
