The 2019 CAAFTC – Crosman All-American Field Target Championship – will be held from June 21-23. The event will be held again at the Rochester Brooks Gun Club, 962 Honeoye Falls #6 Road, Rush, NY 14543.

2019 is the tenth year for this Field Target contest. Whether you’re a first-time participant or a veteran competitor, you’ll be able to find a shooting division to fit your style! There’s plenty of coverage of past years in HAM for you to check out.

After getting squared away with check-in at the 2019 CAAFTC and some practice rounds on Friday, take part in the Pistol Match and the Quigley Bucket Challenge.

The Quigley Bucket Challenge requires shooters to hit a 1.75 inch target from 55 yards away. Oh that’s from a standing position, with open sights and a 12 Ft/Lbs-limited air rifle, on what’s usually a windy course. No pressure!!!

Registered competitors are invited to stay for drinks and hors d’oeuvres that Friday evening where they can network and chat with people interested in the sport.

All two-day registered competitors will receive a surprise gear bag and 3 lunch vouchers.

Here’s an overview of the different Field Target disciplines that you can choose to shoot at the 2019 CAAFTC:

WFTF Division

This division is for you if you have and air rifle that doesn’t exceed 12 ft/Lbs at the muzzle. Adjustable stocks are allowed and you can wear any clothing you desire. Seating is allowed in this division, so long as the seat is not more that 6 inches off of the ground.

Hunter Division

In the hunter division, your air rifle may not exceed 20 Ft/Lbs at the muzzle. No jackets or harnesses are allowed. You can carry any optic up to 16 power and may use a bipod. Also any form of seat without back and arms may be used.

Open Division

The open division is for the person with all the serious gear and with an air rifle not exceeding 20 Ft/Lbs of Muzzle energy. All forms of clothing are permissable. You can have body support straps and harnesses so long as they do not support the gun. Any form of sighting is allowed and seating is also allowed so long as it is not more than 6 inches off the ground.

Pistol Division

The pistol division is for air pistols only. The maximum caliber is .25 and the Muzzle enerrgy limited to 12 Ft/Lbs. Barrel length may not exceed 15-inches and the overall length cannot be more than 25 Inches. Attachment cylinders at the rear of the gun are not allowed, nor are shooting jackets, slings, harnesses or shooting sticks.
