New Labradar Bluetooth Apps Introduced For Doppler Radar System

As many of you will know, Hard Air Magazine uses Labradar extensively for our pellet Ballistic Coefficient testing. Now the company has expanded its range with the introduction of two new Labradar Bluetooth Apps – one for Android, the other for Apple iOS.

The Labradar Bluetooth Apps are available from GooglePlay and the Apple AppStore. Note that it may be a couple of days before the iOS App shows in the APPStore.

These Labradar Bluetooth Apps allow a Labradar device to be controlled remotely from a phone or tablet. It provides additional functionality such as being able to store data on the phone or tablet, edit preferences quickly and generate an average power factor from a shot string.

In order to use the Labradar Bluetooth Apps, you’ll need to upgrade the unit to the new version 1.2.0 firmware. This can be done directly from the Labradar site. Alternatively, you can buy it pre-loaded onto an SD card and make the upgrade from there.

Directions For Labradar Bluetooth Apps Download And Connectivity
1. Go to http://www.mylabradar.com/download.php,
2. Select: Labradar Firmware v1.2.0 (EN) Mobile App Ready.
3. Copy the FWA and FWB files to a SD card (or use the USB cable method), Do not put the files in any folder.
4. Insert the SD card in your Labradar and turn it on.
5. On your Android Device, make sure your location service is enable.
6. Download the Labradar App to your device.
7. Don’t pair your Bluetooth device to the Labradar, in order to use the app just connect to your Labradar from within the mobile app.

In addition, Labradar has also introduced a new mini tripod as an alternative to the bench rest for mounting the unit.
